Offering 4, 7 and 10 night cruises, the journeys take in a number of national parks, including Kaziranga and Manas, and feature wildlife viewing (both by jeep and on elephant back), village walks, visits to tea gardens, exploring country towns in cycle rickshaws, barbecues on deserted river islands, dance performances and visits to craft workshops. The Charaidew has 12 air-conditioned twin-bedded ensuite cabins, all on the upper deck. Food on board is a mixture of Assamese (milder than most Indian cuisine) and continental.

Day 01: Arrival Kolkata
Upon arrival at Kolkata, you will be met by representative and transferred to your hotel. Check in at hotel. Overnight stay at Hotel.

Day 02: In Kolkata
Breakfast at hotel, Today is free to relax or explore a little of India's lively cultural Capital.

Day 03: Kolkata - Guwahati (Flight Ic - 229 Dep - 0950 Arr - 1100 Hrs)
Breakfast at hotel Morning drive to Kolkata Airport and board flight to Guwahati, Upon arrival transfer to R V Charaidew or R V Sukapha for your 7 night cruise (180 KM / Approximately 4 hrs). Getting under way. Sail upstream. Passing the spectacular Kaziranga National park. Where you may spot wild elephants basking in the glow of twilight. Overnight stay at R V Charaidew.

Day 04:
Disembark pre-dawn and drive to Kaziranga National Park's Central Range for an early morning elephant ride, the best way to get really close to the rhino and other animals. Return to breakfast on board cruising upstream with Kaziranga National Park on the right bank. The ship reaches Vishnath around midday where you disembark and visit the town and its interesting Ahom-period Shiva temple, before rejoining the ship to continue your journey Overnight stay at R V Charaidew.

Day 05:
Today is spent on the river where friendly villages and the possibility of spotting Gangetic dolphins provide a distraction as you voyage towards the tranquil setting of Dhansiri Mukh for your overnight mooring. Overnight stay at R V Charaidew.

Day 06:
This morning take a jeep safari into the spectacular eastern ranges of Kaziranga National Park, a magnificent expanse of swamps and grasslands that boast an astonishing diversity of animal and birdlife, including Indian rhino, elephant, the rare Bengal Florican and a phenomenal collection of birds of prey. Returning to the boat continue to cruise upstream Overnight stay at R V Charaidew.

Day 07:
Today's cruising includes a visit to a local village, the perfect chance to learn a little more about life along the meandering shoreline of this great river Overnight stay at R V Charaidew.

Day 08:
Around breakfast time you should reach the island of Majuli, the largest river island in the world and the site of some unique Hindu monasteries, whose famous dance and drama performances have accorded the island UNESCO Heritage status. After a visit to the monastery at Kamalbari and the tribal museum at Auniati set sail across to Neamati Ghat on the opposite bank Overnight stay at R V Charaidew.

Day 09:
This morning visit the Gatoonga tea estate to learn about the growing and cultivating processes. Continue to Sibsagarto and visit the one time capital of the Kings of Assam, a delightful amalgam of Indian and south east Asian culture, containing some exquisite architecture and carvings. Return to the boat for your final evening on board Overnight stay at R V Charaidew.

Day 10: Dibrugarh - Delhi (Flight S2 - 312 Dep - 1405 Arr - 1745 Hrs)
Disembarking and driving to Dibrugarh airport this morning (145 KMS/approximately 2½ hours) fly to Delhi, India's energetic capital city, Upon arrival check into the hotel Overnight stay at hotel.

Day 11: Delhi
Breakfast at hotel Morning Optional city tour of Delhi visit Qutub Minar- is the tower of victory started by Qutub-Ud-Din-Aibak in 1199AD upon becoming sultan of Delhi, Lotus temple- this distinctive lotus shaped marvel in Marble is a symbol peace, India Gate (the war memorial) and Presidents House (From outside).

Day 12: Delhi Departure Airport
