Day 01: Arr. Transfer From Airport To Hotel At Mamallapuram (By Surface 65 Kms - 1.5 Hrs)
On arrival our executive will meet you at the airport followed by transfer to hotel at Mamallapuram. Check into the hotel on arrival and rest of the day at leisure. (Overnight at Mamallapuram) [Transport: Vehicle only for arrival transfer]

Day 02: Mamallapuram / Sightseeing
Breakfast follows sight seeing of Mamallapuram by Walk. We call it the 'History walk of Mamallapuram' which includes visits to all Major places of Interest (7th century monuments), a visit to Sculpture studio. This 03hrs interesting walk starts at The Arjuna's Penance (Bass Relief) and onward visiting monuments of Krishna's Butterball, Rayalagopuram, Ganeshratha, Varahacave, Ottikkal mandapam, Trimurthi caves, Koneri mandapam, Lions throne, Mahishasuramardini mandapam, Dharmaraja mandapam, Ramanuja mandapam, Five rathas (symbolises equality of men & women) & to end with at the famous Shore temple. To taste the south Indian flavor we have included a banana leaf lunch at one of the oldest restaurants of Mamallapuram. Return to hotel and at rest of the day at leisure. Day 03: Mamallapuram - Tanjore (By Surface 290 Kms - 6 Hrs)
After breakfast check out of the hotel and drive towards Tanjore - the chola citadel. Enroute visit temple at Gangaikonda Cholapuram (famous Shiva temple) with its beautiful high towers full with many small sculptures depicting stories of old epics. Proceed to visit Dharasuram temple (built in memory of the White elephant - AIRAVATH from the gods family), the temple has its original name as "Airavatheshwar temple". Later drive to Tanjore and on arrival check in the hotel. (Overnight at Tanjore) [Transport: Vehicle at disposal]

Day 04: Tanjore - Madurai (By Surface 145 Kms - 3.5 Hrs)
Check out of the hotel and depart for the sightseeing of Tanjore visiting - the world famous Brahadeshwara temple (houses one of Asia's biggest Nandi -the bull). The temple built by the cholas is very special for its architecture. The most exiting is that the temple does not have a shadow falling on ground at any time of day but falls on its own body. Then visit the Bronze gallery at palace museum. Later drive towards Madurai and on arrival check in the hotel. (Overnight at Madurai) [Transport: Vehicle at disposal]

Day 05: Madurai / Sightseeing
After breakfast proceed for sight seeing tour of Madurai by Cycle Rickshaw. The Bi-Cycle Rickshaw tour of Madurai offers you a memorable experience of being in this old city. It takes you to the interesting narrow streets & lanes of Madurai showing the typical life of people in here. The Rickshaw pullers of Madurai were getting very unpopular with the locals, as the locals preferred the more modern mode of transport. The Cycle Rickshaw - the most eco friendly form of transport was fast being phased out, and the hundred and twenty rickshaw pullers of Madurai were being deprived of a lively hood, as they were unable to buy the modern forms of transport like the auto rickshaw/taxi etc. To give these pullers another lease of life we at Hi-tours have designed this tour as part of our commitment to promote responsible tourism. By taking this tour you are supporting the rickshaw pullers and at the same time, encouraging the locals to use the rickshaws and all of this in a very eco friendly way. By Cycle Rickshaw we visit - Meenakshi temple for the night ceremony where God Shiva (Meenakshi`s husband) is taken in a palanquin to the bedroom of Meenakshi. This is a daily procession and next day early morning before sunrise God Shiva is brought back to his shrine with in the temple complex. God Shiva here is known as Sundareshwar and we visit Flower/Fruit & Spice Market, Tirumalai Nayak Palace, Gandhi Museum, Small scale Industry like Vessel making & Cloth making. Day 06: Madurai - Periyar (By Surface 170 Kms - 4 Hrs)
Check out from the hotel after breakfast and drive to Periyar (also known as Thekkady). The name Periyar comes after the Dam made here by the English in 1895. A wild life reserve hence is an ideal place to track down wild life such as Elephants, Bison, Deer and numerous other varieties of birds. The landscape here is with very tropical and you will be surrounded by tea, coffee & other spices. Check into the hotel on arrival and proceed for a guided plantation tour to the nearby garden where in various species of spices and other aromatic plants are cultivated. The guide explains & clarifies your doubts on this tour. Depending on the day's opportunity you will also taken to visit a tea factory nearby. (Overnight at Periyar) [Transport: Vehicle at disposal]

Day 07: Periyar / Sightseeing
Early morning proceed for a Guided Jungle walk at the Periyar tiger reserve / national park. This 03hrs walk (not very hard) is very interesting and gives you the chance to see the wildlife life at a very close distance. If you are lucky you may even spot the rarely sighted leopards & tigers. Return to hotel and rest of the day at leisure. (Overnight at Thekkady) [No Transport]

Day 08: Periyar - Kovalam (By Surface 230 Kms - 6 Hrs)
Check out from the hotel after breakfast and drive to Kovalam located on the coast of the Arabian Sea. Because of its beaches Kovalam belongs to one of the renowned Destinations for leisure. Kovalam means a grove of coconut trees. The crescent-shaped beach has three parts. The most popular, is lighthouse beach, the Hawah beach and Samudra beach. A golden strip of sand, laced with palm trees, this internationally acclaimed, lush, tropical beach is often referred to as "the Paradise of the South". The Sun bathing, Swimming, Ayurvedic Rejuvenation, Yoga and meditation, Herbal body toning massages, Special Cultural Programmers, Catamaran cruising; etc are the other attraction of this place. Day 12: Kovalam - Alleppey (By Surface 160 Kms - 3.5 Hrs)
Check out from hotel after breakfast and drive to Alleppey - the land of back water. On arrival embark into the private house boat that is waiting to take you on a tour through the backwaters, a splendid area full of canals, lakes and coves. You can sunbathe on the deck or observe the landscape from the protection of the cabin. The population's whole life takes place here on the water. The people sail, fish, swim and bathe here. They do their washing and their washing up. They are so adapted to the water that you can see people talking for an hour, while they are up to their necks in water. Canoes with huge sails still transport people and you can find vegetable sellers, fisherman and other household materials being brought door to door by small wooden boats. This whole area is surrounded with coconut palms and, lush green Rice fields. The major cropping here is of coconut and it is said that the name for this place KERALA was from the old name of coconut as KERA. Day 13: Alleppey - Cochin (By Surface 65 Kms - 1.5 Hrs)
Check out from the hotel after breakfast and drive to Cochin - a cosmopolitan city in the federal state of Kerala. On arrival check into the hotel and proceed for sight seeing tour of Cochin visiting - 'The Jewish Synagogue' at the heart of what is locally called the Jew Town, 'The St. Francis Church', the oldest European Church in India, 'The Santa Cruz Basilica' originally built in 1557 by the Portuguese, The Dutch Palace, Spice market at the narrow streets. Evening visit to the famous dance drama of Kerala, the "Kathakali". This dance can be characterized by grotesque gesticulations, amazing costumes and very extensive make-up. The stories are mostly taken from the epics Mahabharatha and Ramayana. Evening visit to the 'Chinese fishing nets' huge cantilevered fishing nets believed to have brought to Kochi by Chinese traders. Chinese fishing area is very lively and interesting with the daily fish market in here. All the live catch from time to time comes to sale in front of the Chinese fishing area. Day 14: Cochin - Coonoor (By Surface 280 Kms - 6 Hrs)

Day 15: Ooty / Sightseeing

After breakfast drive to Coonoor railway station to board on a popular steam train in Coonoor and proceed to Ooty. While the train journey the spectacular views of the precipitous eastern slopes of the Nilgiri hills will accompany us. On arrival in Ooty proceed for sightseeing of visiting - Botanical garden (the most popular place of interest in Ooty), Doddabeda (Highest peak of Tamilnadu) & the Market at the main town. Day 16: Coonoor - Mudumalai (By Surface 35 Kms - 0.5 Hrs)
Check out from the hotel after breakfast and drive towards Mudhumalai, situated in the foothills of the Nilgiri at an elevation of 1000m is the forest area between Kerala and Karnataka and it is one of the best sanctuaries in South India where nature has been lavish in providing this sanctuary with thickly wood hills, plateaus, deep valleys, waterfalls, rivers, marshes and streams. On arrival check into the hotel and visit elephant camp there you can come to know the elephants feeding type and life style of elephants. (Overnight at Mudhumalai) [Transport: Vehicle at disposal]

Day 17: Mudumalai

Day 18: Mudumalai - Mysore (By Surface 110 Kms - 3 Hrs)

Day 19: Mysore / Sightseeing
After breakfast proceed for sight seeing of Mysore visiting - the Famous 'Palace of Mysore' which was once the residential of Wodeyars and is one of the largest of its kind in India. Built in 1912 in the indo Saracenic style, this palace exudes a grandeur that is unmatched. Then on visit the 'Jayachamsrajendra Art Gallery' housed in the Jaganmohan palace. This gallery has a collection of Exquisite paintings dating back to 1875. Further visit to the bull temple (a 4.8mts monolith) on the middle of hill on the way to Chamundi temple and then to visit the 'Chamundi Hill Temple' at a height of 1062mts. The 2000-year-old temple is dedicated to Goddess Chamundi. A seven storey, 40mts high tower, dominates the temple. A view of entire Mysore city from this hill top is breath taking. Day 20: Mysore - Bangalore (By Surface 140 Kms - 3 Hrs)
Check out from the hotel after breakfast and drive towards Bangalore. On arrival check in the hotel and proceed for sightseeing of Bangalore visiting - Vidhan Souda'- one of India's most spectacular building that houses the secretariat and the state legislature, Tippu's Summer Palace (open hours 9am-5pm), which is, build mostly of wood. Further we will visit a hybrid of an ultramodern glass vernacular South Indian temple architecture. Return back to hotel and rest of the day at leisure. Day 21: Departure Transfer
After breakfast check out of the hotel and drive towards the airport for the onward flight to respective destination. [Transport: Vehicle only for departure transfer]
